Bad Theology
While I have no doubt that Joel Osteen is a Christian and will not judge the veracity of his faith, I feel compelled to demonstrate as clearly as I know that he has drifted away from Christ as the center of his message. While I can not argue against the popularity of his message, I can judge the content of it. To this end I present the following sections.
Note in the first section that in order to be a good witness to Jesus Christ you actually have to use the words Jesus Christ. We should be alarmed that Larry King says Christ twice as much as does Joel. In an approximately ten thousand word interview should we not expect him to use the lord's name more than 8 times?
The second link demonstrates (in my mind) clearly the difference between the feel good, watered down message of Joel Osteen when compared to the Christ centered message of someone like Spurgeon.
